Brian Schama

Conservative Councillor for Mill Hill Ward

Brian was elected as councillor for Mill Hill Ward in May 2010, along with Sury Khatri, to join John Hart as the three councillors for Mill Hill Ward all representing the Conservative Party.

Brian has had a long and successful business career specialising in domestic and international retailing, sourcing, manufacturing and brand licensing. Countries that Brian has operated in have been North America, India, Hong Kong, Japan, China, South Korea, Israel and the Eurozone. Brian currently runs his own property investment company and is Vice Chairman of the Bnai Brith Raoul Wallenberg Lodge.

Brian works with his two ward colleagues to preserve the unique environment and atmosphere of Mill Hill and to safeguard the long term future of Mill Hill East station.

Brian's principle interests are in delivering better social housing, supporting more vulnerable residents and children in care and finding new ways to support the voluntary sector.

Brian sits on various committees and is Chairman of Hendon Area Environment Sub Committee and Task & Finish Group - Procurement and is also Director of Barnet Homes Ltd.

Brian was born and educated in the borough, where he has lived for over 60 years, and currently lives in Hendon with his wife Lynda.
