Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague MP visited Hendon as a guest of Matthew Offord to speak with local people about the Conservative Party’s view on Israel, the economy and how Conservatives will improve education standards.
William described the recent statement by Gordon Brown over the Universal Jurisdiction issue as “yet another holding tactic” as members of the Government refuse to address the issue. He also described the introduction of a Private Members bill on the issue as a “shallow election ploy which the sponsor knows has no chance of even being a read in the House of Commons.”
Matthew said, “William’s visit was enthusiastically attended by almost 200 people and he again re-iterated that the Labour parliamentary party will not address the issue of the International Arrest warrant, school security and the banning of Hizb ut-Tahrir under the Terrorism Act. Only by electing a Conservative Government can these issues be resolved.
